As chief executive officer, Mark Johnston is responsible for the overall management of The Melting Pot restaurants across the county. Mark’s supervision of the franchise includes site selection, lease negotiation and new restaurant development and design.
Johnston’s career at The Melting Pot started in 1976 when he served as a server and part-time assistant manager at the Maitland, Fla. location. Seeing the potential success of The Melting Pot, Mark partnered with his brothers, Michael and Bob, to purchase the restaurant concept in 1985. In the years that followed, Mark would continue to lead the restaurant chain as it grew to become the largest fondue franchise in the country.
Mark graduated from Florida Tech, now known as the University of Central Florida, with a degree in business. |
