Chef Ron Duprat is a real do-it-yourself culinary expert. Chef Duprat has come a long way from his 27-day journey from his Haitian homeland to the pinnacle of culinary prowess here in South Florida. Using his grandmother’s recipes, he pulled himself up from poverty to serving his specialties to top professionals, dignitaries and heads of state. Utilizing fresh Seafood, and Local produce, he has worked with well-known personalities like Emeril Lagasse, Tyler Florence, Giada De Larentis, Randall H Cox, Adam Savage, Guy Fierri, Masaharu Morimoto and Alex Askew.
Many restaurants have opened under his leadership. His constantly expanding palette of flavors has included his trademark French Fusion spiced with Caribbean Flair. Today, he works as an Executive Chef at Latitudes Beach Café in Hollywood Florida.
He has been seen at South Beach Wine & Food Festival, The Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival, James Beard foundation Dinner ,the Taste of the Nation; NBC6, 16th Annual Cultural Awareness Salute Dinner” black-tie gala in New York City, and in national publications like Vogue and Travel + Leisure. His recipe was featured on Oprah.com. He has been awarded (along with his team) “Best of the Best” for three years while serving as the Executive Chef of the Montauk Yacht Club. While in Naples, he also worked at La Playa Beach Resort, Pelican Bay, Little Italy, Frascatti, Cloyde steak House and lobster.
He is part of the Cordon Blue board of advisors, a board member of Flipany, a culinary chair for the Black Culinary Alliance (BCA) and a member of the International Youth Foundation. He was recently the manager at Real Men Cook in Miami and has helped the March of Dimes.
He began his passion for culinary creation as a teenager. At the young age, this allowed him to attend La Varenne Ecole de cuisine.
