Process
Several times per calendar year, the Committee for the Caesars Windsor corporate giving program reviews requests from charities and not-for-profit organizations within our market and our community.
When a request is received, notification of when the next meeting is scheduled is sent to the contact person for the organization.
It is not possible to review proposals as they are received. Proposals will only be reviewed and decisions rendered at the next scheduled Committee meeting. We appreciate your patience with this process and encourage you to plan ahead.

All proposals must be in writing and clearly state:

• Full name of organization.
• Telephone, fax numbers and e-mail.
• Addresses and website address.
• Name and title of contact person.
• National, provincial, state or local affiliations.
• Charitable registration number and registered name.
• A brief summary of the organization; a clear description of its purpose; those who benefit from it; and the geographic area in which it operates.
• Specific and recent accomplishments.
• "Uniqueness" of the organization and its program.
• Names of officers and members of the governing board, their occupations or business affiliations.
• Names of any Caesars Windsor employees, officers or directors who are members of, or associated with the organization.
• Overall campaign objectives, amount sought from private sector and duration of campaign.
• Details of how Caesars Windsor and other sponsors/donors will be recognized.
• Names of other sponsors/donors and amounts pledged or donated.
• Financial statements and other financial information if available or as requested.
  

Please do not send extensive documentation or videos.

We look for evidence of efficient administration and fiscally sound management. We require evidence of the long-term viability of an organization and will not provide support if the survival of the organization is in doubt.

When providing assistance, we reserve the right to request copies of audited financial statements of the organization receiving the assistance or of the specific project, event or program that we supported for two years following the date of the contribution.

We consider support on a yearly basis. We do not provide multi-year funding.

Capital campaigns are not a priority but where a donation has been made to a capital campaign we will implement a five-year hiatus before considering any further requests.

The goal of the Caesars Windsor corporate giving program is to improve the quality of life for residents of our community and our market. By way of example, in the past we have concentrated our efforts in the following areas:

• Health Care (hospitals, cancer, AIDS, palliative care)
• Food Banks
• Programs which promote racial and ethnic tolerance and diversity
• Environment (conservation)
• Heritage of Southwestern Ontario, Southeastern Michigan and Northern Ohio (archives, museums, festivals, Underground Railroad, naval history of the Great Lakes)
• Restoration of sites of historical significance in Southwestern Ontario, Southeastern Michigan and Northern Ohio
• Tourism
• Adult Literacy
• Recreation and education for seniors
• Recreation for families (festivals, parades)
• Events which showcase Southwestern Ontario, Southeastern Michigan or Northern Ohio on a national or international level
• Culture (theatre, symphony orchestra)
  

• Individuals
• Partisan, political, religious or denominational organizations
• Endowment funds, bursaries or scholarships
• Operational funding
• Organizations that direct aid or assistance to recipients outside our community or market
• Amateur athletes, sports teams, sporting events or projects
• Events or activities focused primarily on, or whose primary beneficiaries are, under 19 years of age (minors)
• Organizations already receiving Federal Appeal or United Way funding
• Government funded agencies or organizations – except one-time capital contributions
• Conferences, congresses, seminars or meetings
• National organizations whose local chapters are already receiving our support
• Films, books, television programs or manuscripts
• Service Organizations (i.e. Knights of Columbus, Optimist Clubs, Kinsmen etc.) or fraternities or sororities.
• Caesars Windsor will not accept requests from third party fundraisers
