Poker Room to Open mid-February

Windsor, Ontario, 1/7/2005

Windsor, January 7, 2005 – Casino Windsor will add to its gaming amenities with a new poker room called “Poker Place” scheduled to open in mid-February. Renovations have begun on the second floor to transform a set of meeting rooms into a venue for 10 poker tables, featuring Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Seven Card Stud with more games planned. Table limits will be varied starting from $3 to $6, up to unlimited amounts. This room will be smoke-free with its own cashier cage and cocktail service.

“We’re excited to offer a new product to our customers that will enhance their Casino Windsor experience,” said Grant Darling, Casino Windsor’s Vice President of Table Games. “The popularity of poker has increased tremendously in the past few years, and Poker Place is a direct indication of a trend to meet the growing demand for the game. Poker Place gives our table game customers the full gaming package when they visit Casino Windsor.”
