Private Culinary Gem Opens to the Public
Windsor, Ontario, 1/21/2005
Windsor, Ont. – A sumptuous meal at Casino Windsor’s private dining restaurant Caché, was an experience reserved only for a select group until now. For the first time ever, Caché will open its doors to accept dinner reservations from the public, on a limited basis, starting Wednesday, January 26.
“When Caché opened in 1999, it didn’t take long for its reputation of luxury to get out through our valued customers,” said Liam Sneyd, Casino Windsor’s Vice President of Resort Operations. “A large number of requests to accommodate for dinner shortly followed. So it is with great pleasure that we offer this hidden gem to the public and allow everyone to enjoy all of its treasures.”
Located on the lower level of Canadian Club® Salon, Caché is the ideal place to impress business clients or spend a quiet, romantic evening, accommodating large or intimate parties with a total seating of 115. Lavish furnishings in rich hues of brown and gold, teak paneling, leather seating and fine art create the perfect setting to enjoy an unforgettable meal.
Caché’s culinary team, lead by Chef Deron Lepore, draws inspiration from around the world creating a scrumptious menu that incorporates exotic spices and the freshest ingredients. Caché’s signature dish, “Symphony of Seafood” combines generous portions of plump sea scallops, lobster tail, blue crab and prawns served with a rich Pernod cream. Choices of crisp salads, light appetizers or mouthwatering steaks are also offered, and entrées start at $28 to $55 Cdn (varies seasonally).
Meals at Caché are not only a feast for the mouth, but for the eyes as well with each plate presented like a work of art. First Cook Don Kumarsinghe, carves ordinary fruits and vegetables into delicate floral arrangements that have won him several international gold medals. His creations are also displayed on the raw bar, vibrantly decorated with mosaic tile offering comfortable seating for guests to watch the chefs prepare a bounty of fresh seafood and pasta made fresh on the spot.
Part of the luxury of Caché is the personalized attention and years of experience each server brings to the table. Intimate knowledge of the menu combined with superb customer service ensures each guest feels like royalty.
Reservations for Caché can be made on a limited basis by calling VIP Services at 1-800-991-8888 or by visiting the Casino Host at the Canadian Club® Salon entrance, with preference given to Premier and Preferred level customers. Caché is open Wednesday through Sunday at 5 p.m.
