• A "bad beat" is when a good hand of four 10's or better is beaten by a higher 4-of-a-kind or better. The qualifying hand lowers to four 9's, then 8's, 7's, 6's, 5's, 4's, 3's and 2's based on the jackpot amount. Then stays at deuces until hit.
