Meet the Executive Team: Bo Guidry - Senior Vice President & General Manager Throughout his career with Harrah's, Guidry has proven himself to be a trusted leader with a proven track record of operational excellence. Guidry joined the company in 2001 as Vice President of Food & Beverage at Lake Tahoe. He later held the same role at Harrah's St. Louis, before becoming Vice President of Casino Operations. In 2006, Guidry was promoted to Vice President of Operations and Assistant General Manager of the St. Louis property. In 2004, Guidry earned a Corporate Excellence Award in Leadership for his outstanding contributions at Harrah's St. Louis in overseeing the opening of a new hotel tower, expansion of the property's food and beverage offerings and recruitment and development of a strong team in both hotel and food and beverage operations. He also played an integral role in engaging and retaining employees in an increasingly competitive market. Prior to joining Harrah's, Guidry served as Vice President of Food & Beverage at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. He holds an undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and an MBA from the University of New Orleans. Mark Osterhaus – Vice President & Assistant General Manager Osterhaus is a seven year Harrah’s veteran and joined us most recently from Harrah’s Las Vegas as Vice President of Hotel Operations. He oversees operations for Harrah’s and Horseshoe, including Racing, Gaming, Food and Beverage, Customer Service and Information Technology. Prior to joining Harrah’s, Osterhaus held various positions with Hyatt Regency, Ritz Carlton and Sun International. He holds an MBA from University of California-Berkley. Jeannie Magdefrau – Vice President of Finance Magdefrau has worked for numerous Harrah’s properties and brings a wealth of casino industry experience to Iowa. She came to Harrah’s and Bluffs Run from Harrah’s Lake Tahoe where she was the VP of Operations. Prior to that, she was the acting General Manager for Harvey’s Wagon Wheel in Colorado and the Director of Finance at Harrah’s Laughlin. Magdefrau oversees Financial Reporting / Accounting, Regulatory Compliance / Revenue Audit, Purchasing, Casino Controller / Cage and Planning and Analysis. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Economics from North Dakota State University. Matt Ryan – Vice President of Marketing Ryan provides strategic oversight for Direct Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Entertainment and the company’s loyalty program, Total Rewards, at Harrah’s and Horseshoe Casinos. Ryan joined Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. as a Senior Financial Analyst in 1998 before being promoted to Planning and Analysis Manager two years later. Ryan was quickly promoted to Director of Planning and Analysis. He was later named Director of Marketing before being promoted again to Vice President of Marketing when he joined the Council Bluffs team in 2005. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Clemson University and an MBA from Tulane University.
Mike Gallagher – Vice President of Human Resources Gallagher joined the Harrah’s organization in May of 2007 coming from Supervalue, Inc., one of the nation’s largest retail and grocery distributors. He has had a diverse career in Human Resources, with experience in training, development and engagement. Gallagher received his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Northern Iowa and a law degree from the University of Iowa.
Dan Real – Vice President of Operations Real started his career with Harrah’s in 1995 at the Joliet property. In 2000, Real was promoted to Casino Marketing Manager. He joined the Iowa team in 2002, taking on the responsibilities of Director of Casino Marketing. In 2004, Real accepted the position of Director of Table Games. In that position, he led his team to record financial performance. In 2006, Real was promoted to Vice President of Table Games. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University and an MBA for the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
