Harrah's Entertainment supports our communities through charitable donations of direct funds and in-kind gifts.
Harrah's focuses its Community Relations efforts on 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that serve senior citizens, health-related causes and diverse populations. First preference is given to organizations based in the communities where we operate.
Restrictions
Harrah's does not support the following types of organizations or activities:
- Churches or religious organizations unless they provide non-denominational services
- Treatment centers or facilities, or individual medical services
- Organizations that discriminate by race, color, creed, gender, national origin or sexual orientation
- Grants or sponsorship to individuals
- Athletic sponsorships of individuals and/or teams (little leagues)
- Political or advocacy groups.
Monetary Requests
In an average year, Harrah's Entertainment supports thousands of certified 501(c)(3) organizations through direct cash donations. This includes buying tables and sponsorship of charitable events.
Requests that are not submitted at least 60 days before the event or needed date, will be declined.
To request a cash donation, all requests must:

- Be submitted 60 days in advance of the event or date requested for cash contribution.
- Provide information on the organization's mission and details regarding how the funding will be used.
- Contain contact information for the organization, address, phone number, and email address.
- Submit an 501(c)(3) "determination letter" from the Internal Revenue Service
In-Kind Requests
In addition to monetary donations, Harrah's contributes to nonprofit organizations through in-kind gifts. In-kind donations are complimentary certificates for hotel room nights, show tickets and dinners. Other resort amenities are rare and are considered on a case by case basis.
