Corporate Social Responsibility
|
In 2000 Harrah's Entertainment, Inc., became the first casino company to adopt specific core principles to guide the way we interact with employees, guests and the communities in which we do business. These principles are called the Harrah's Code of Commitment. The activities that support the Code are called Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.
Harrah's employees have picked up this banner with enthusiasm, most especially in the area of contributions to the community. Thanks to them - to you! - the company's charitable outreach gains new and greater heights every year.
A number of programs Harrah's has championed over the years now fall under the CSR umbrella, including Harrah's Entertainment Reaching Out (H.E.R.O.), Charitable Giving and grants for charitable organizations through the Harrah's Foundation. CSR also includes a number of newer programs, such as CodeGreen, our program to spur progress toward ecological goals across the Harrah's brand.
