Public Affairs
Having operated casinos for more than sixty years, and with casinos in more jurisdictions than any other gaming company, Harrah’s understands the casino business. We also understand the effects of our business on the communities that we serve.

Public policy should be built on a foundation of facts gleaned from impartial and peer-reviewed facts. We invite you to examine the Issue Papers and Policy Briefs we’ve developed. The materials are intended for community officials, legislators, researchers, reporters, and anyone else who may be interested in understanding the place of casino gaming within American society.

And you don’t have to take our word for it. There are a number of other sources for information about casinos and casino gaming. Two additional, excellent sources of information about the social and economic impacts of casinos – and about legislative issues involving casino gambling – are the websites of the American Gaming Association (AGA) and the National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA). Harrah’s is a proud member of both the AGA and NIGA.

We believe that building a sound foundation for public policy on casino gambling requires hearing and evaluating the arguments on all sides of the debate. For a viewpoint on gambling-related issues that’s diametrically opposed to ours, visit the National Coalition Against Legalized Gambling.
