Available solely to qualified first-year MBA students, this program provides hands-on experience at one of the company’s 40+ casino properties. An internship with Harrah’s Entertainment can include exposure to gaming, marketing, finance, food and beverage, hotel, retail and entertainment. During the 10-week timeframe, each intern will work closely with casino senior management to apply analytical skills to strategic projects. While adding value within the organization, interns also gain exposure to the overall management and operation of our business. Projects undertaken are relevant activities that add significant value to the organization. Individual departments as well as individual Intern career goals will determine the number and subject of projects. Recent projects have included: analyzing new slot programs, implementing succession planning initiatives, creating strategic internet alliances, and designing & executing national promotions. Interns also have the opportunity to interact with employees and guests on the casino floor and attend management meetings. Although there is an overarching framework to the program, actual roles and responsibilities will differ by property and project. President’s Associate Interns will have dedicated mentors monitoring their experience and progress, but they must also take responsibility for shaping their summer experience to meet their individual needs. The President’s Associate Intern Program is the primary feeder into the full-time President’s Associate Program. Internship Requirements: - MBA candidate from a top-ranked program
- 3-4 years quality work experience
- Supervisory experience and leadership skills
- Strong financial/analytical skills and mental agility
- Former experience in retail, hospitality and/or service companies is highly desirable
