Financial Analyst Analyst opportunities exist at both a corporate and property levels. This position is responsible for performing market analysis using historical data to forecast market trends and determine market elasticity. Market analysis includes understanding the seasonality, determining the viability of marketing programs, capacity constraints, major capital projects, future expansion plans and regulatory changes in order to predict competitor and market growth.
This position works closely with all levels of management to generate and analyze the Annual Capital and Operating Budgets. Analysis of other projects include research of costs/savings associated with the project and financial calculations and presentation of data used to make determinations by management.
Planning & Analysis Analyst This team acts as more of a consultant to the different departments. The work is similar to that of a Financial Analyst. This position is responsible for analysis and forecasting. Some of the projects may include the following: - Marketing - analysis and forecasting within the areas of: direct mail, promotions, events, and casino marketing.
- Food & Beverage - Research, coordinate, track, and analyze all aspects of the F&B operation. Assist department managers in the development, implementation and use of identified analysis to enable maximum efficiency of daily labor and cost of sales management.
- Hotel Operations - Perform analysis on Hotel segments and pricing. Identify and report on occupancy trends for each hotel segment.
Audit Audit opportunities exist at both the corporate and property levels. The Auditor is responsible for performing or assisting in the planning and execution of compliance, financial, and operational audits, and special projects. The Audit team responsibilities can include the following: - Assess compliance with governmental and jurisdictional regulatory requirements, financial accounting and auditing standards, and company policies to ensure company assets are safeguarded.
- Examine and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of information systems and business controls.
- Lead or facilitate meetings with senior staff to discuss audit findings and consulting services with top levels of management.
Accounting Accounting opportunities exist at both the corporate and property levels. As an Accountant with Harrah’s, your responsibilities will include: - Assisting in the preparation of periodic financial reports
- Ensuring the integrity of the financial statements
- Reviewing entries posted to the general ledger
- Understanding the flow/impact of financial information from the casino cage to the general ledger
- Analyzing monthly financials to ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, GAAP and internal accounting policies
